Max Holloway defends against Frankie Edgar at UFC 240
UFC 240: Holloway vs. Edgar
The next featherweight title contender has been announced. And yet, it’s not Australian Alexander Volkanovski (20-1), who was ready to challenge the reigning champion Max Holloway, following his recent win against Jose Aldo.
Former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar goes up against Holloway in hopes to steel the featherweight title at the upcoming UFC 240. The scheduled for five rounds championship bout serves as the main event of an upcoming pay-per-view fight card held at Rogers Place in Edmonton on July 28 (AEDT), the promotion announced on Wednesday.
The matchup between Holloway and Edgar has been previously scheduled twice. However both contests (in December 2017 and March 2018) fell off due to injuries to both fighters.
