Berdon Pleads ‘No Contest’ In Ostovich Assault
Arnold Berdon, husband of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) flyweight attraction Rachael Ostovich, plead “no contest” to second-degree assault on Thursday in Hawaii Circuit Court, and is expected to be sentenced on May 16.
That’s according to a report from MMA Junkie, which indicates Berdon could be facing up to five years in prison, as well as a $10,000 fine, though he’s likely to avoid jail time with the successful completion of his domestic violence intervention program.
Ostovich was hospitalized late last year in a domestic violence attack at her home in Hawaii, leading to charges of attempted murder. Those were eventually downgraded to assault, but a restraining order was granted not long before Ostovich filed for divorce.
Ostovich was last seen in a losing effort to Paige VanZant at UFC Brooklyn.
