UFC on ESPN 2: Ray Borg faces new-comer Kyler Phillips in 135-pound debut

UFC on ESPN: Barboza vs. Gaethje

The Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to Pennsylvania on March 31 (AEDT) with UFC on ESPN 2 held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. MMA event billed as UFC on ESPN 2 is headlined by a lightweight battle between Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje.

The fight card of the upcoming show has seen a recent change with Ray Borg receiving a new opponent. Making his first appearance as bantamweight “The Tazmexican Devil” takes on Kyler Phillips who makes his UFC debut, replacing Pingyuan Liu (via Philly Voice).

Borg (11-3) is former UFC Flyweight championship challenger. In his previous bout in October 2017 he was submitted by former champion Demetrious Johnson in the fifth round. Before that he won two bouts by a unanimous decision against Jussier Formiga and Louis Smolka.

Phillips (6-1) is coming of the first-round knockout win earned early February against Emeka Ifekandu. Before that he faced the defeat by split decision against Victor Henry, which snapped his five-fight win streak. Earlier in his career he defeated James Gray Jr., Jonathan Quiroz, among others.
