UFC ‘London’ Odds, Under Dogs And Best Bets!

Get a detailed breakdown of the betting lines for UFC Fight Night 147, which is set to hit O2 Arena in London, England, this weekend (Sat., March 16, 2019), including best bets, underdogs, favorites and much more!

Top-ranked Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight contenders take center stage inside O2 Arena in London, England, this Saturday when Darren Till (No. 3) takes on Jorge Masvidal (No. 11) and Leon Edwards squares off with Gunnar Nelson on ESPN+. UFC Fight Night 147 also includes a violent Light Heavyweight match up between Dominick Reyes and Volkan Oezdemir alongside the latest from bluechip Bantamweight prospect Nathaniel Wood.

UFC Fight Night 147 is an afternoon event, so let’s see if we can’t earn enough to get some late night libations afterward.

What Went Wrong at UFC on ESPN+ 4?

Nothing! However, Yana Kunitskaya cut things a lot closer than she should have. Indeed, it more than made up for the UFC 235 disaster.

UFC Fight Night 147 (ESPN+ 5) Odds For The Undercard:

Arnold Allen (-150) vs. Jordan Rinaldi (+130)
Joe Duffy (-210) vs. Marc Diakiese (+175)
Nick Negumereanu (-185) vs. Saparbeg Safarov (+160)
Tom Breese (-140) vs. Ian Heinisch (+120)
Dan Ige (-155) vs. Danny Henry (+135)
Molly McCann (-185) vs. Priscilla Cachoeira (+160)
Nad Narimani (-185) vs. Mike Grundy (+160)

Thoughts: I seem to be in a boxing mood, as I’m liking the lines on Joe Duffy and Molly McCann.

Marc Diakiese looks like a bust, failing to develop his striking technique to match his terrific speed and power. Duffy has him outclassed on the feet and, should Diakiese try to grind him out from the top as “Bonecrusher” is wont to do, Duffy is nasty enough on the ground to punish him for it.

Therefore, a decent-sized bet on “Irish Joe” looks like the ticket.

McCann may have holes in her defensive wrestling that you could drive a truck through, but she’s a slick, powerful boxer going up against an opponent who’s more than happy to stand with her. Cachoeira is little more than a heavy-handed brawler, and McCann should be able to piece her up.

In addition, a bit on Tom Breese seems wise, as well. Heinisch is a fair bit shorter than Breese and his takedown defense leaves something to be desired.

UFC Fight Night 147 (ESPN+ 5) Odds For The Main Card:

Darren Till (-240) vs. Jorge Masvidal (+200)
Leon Edwards (-155) vs. Gunnar Nelson (+135)
Dominick Reyes (-255) vs. Volkan Oezdemir (+215)
Nathaniel Wood (-310) vs. Jose Alberto Quinonez (+255)
Claudio Silva (-150) vs. Danny Roberts (+130)
Jack Marshman (-170) vs. John Phillips (+150)

Thoughts: The one tempting underdog this week is Danny Roberts. Though Claudio Silva is a lethal grappler, his striking is nonexistent. Roberts, so long as his sprawl holds up, should be able to tear “Hannibal” to bits, especially since he has a three-inch reach advantage. The only real concern for “Hot Chocolate” is his chin, which shouldn’t be an issue considering Silva’s aforementioned shortcomings.

UFC Fight Night 147 (ESPN+ 5) Best Bets:

  • Parlay — Molly McCann and Joe Duffy: Bet $50 to make $63.50
  • Single bet — Tom Breese: Bet $50 to make $35.71
  • Single bet — Danny Roberts: Bet $35 to make $49

Darren Till vs. Jorge Masvidal and Leon Edwards vs. Gunnar Nelson are A+ match ups, perfect for a Saturday afternoon. See you then, Maniacs!
