Video: Tenshin Nasukawa poses, nails ridiculous cartwheel kick KO
Tenshin Nasukawa poses before landing a highlight-reel strike

When it comes to generating kickboxing highlights, there are few better in the business today than Tenshin Nasukawa.

The 20-year-old Japanese star received international recognition recently for his exhibition boxing match at Rizin 14 on New Year’s Eve opposite the undefeated Floyd Mayweather. Unsurprisingly, the bigger and far more experienced Mayweather made short work of Nasukawa.

In his first kickboxing match of 2019, Nasukawa again showed why’s usually the one dishing out the punishment.

Facing Argentina’s Federico Roma in the opening round bout of the 2019 Rise World Series 58 kilogram (approx. 128 pounds) tournament in Tokyo, the reigning Rise bantamweight and featherweight champion struck a dramatic pose before blasting Roma with a cartwheel kick in the third round.

That was a wrap for Roma and Nasukawa advanced to the semifinals of the tournament where he’ll face Thailand’s Suakim PK Saenchaimuaythaigym.
