UFC 234 Embedded, part 5 - ‘He doesn’t shower enough’
Check out the fifth episode of Embedded for UFC 234.
UFC 234 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth and final episode for this weekend’s big show in Melbourne, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
We start off with Israel Adesanya, who is doing some media online. Anderson Silva comes in and they embrace and take a pic. All respect. Sam Alvey is also there.
Then it’s Ultimate Media Day. Alvey talks about taking Jim Crute’s undefeated record from him, in his typical super nice way. Nadia Kassem and Montana De La Rosa talk about experience and their age. Adesanya does some sparring and his coach winds him up, saying he understands Portuguese and that Anderson was talking smack about him in the elevator. It’s all a joke, but it seems like Israel believed him for a minute there.
Open workouts time. The crowd is hyped for Robert Whittaker and Adesanya. Adesanya does a whole pro wrestling spiel that the crowd eats up. They give Kelvin Gastelum some respect despite him fighting their countryman. Whittaker does his workout and it seems like everything is good to go. Obviously that’s not the case, as Whittaker vs. Gastelum is now off. But we’ll go forward with Silva vs. Adesanya in the main event.
UFC 234 goes down in a few minutes in Melbourne.
