Crisis averted (for now).

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is back on DirecTV for the upcoming UFC 234: “Whittaker vs. Gastelum” pay-per-view (PPV) event, taking place this Sat. night (Feb. 9, 2019) inside Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Victorian, Australia.

“We have a one-fight deal for this weekend with DirecTV for Whittaker vs Gastelum and Adesanya vs Silva,” White wrote on Twitter. “So it will be on DirecTV and in bars and on every other platform. I will have this shit all worked out in the next couple weeks. Thank you.”

Mixed martial arts (MMA) fans who subscribe to the satellite television provider were left in the dark earlier this week when the promotion announced it was unable to come to terms on a new deal following the expiration of its previous distribution agreement.

While White expects to have everything worked out for the future, he doesn’t have a lot of time to get it done, as UFC 235 is scheduled for March 2 in Las Vegas, and losing DirecTV for a Jon Jones fight would cost the promotion beaucoup bucks.

Stay tuned.
