UFC 234 Embedded, part 3 - ‘Lead with the head’
Check out the third episode of Embedded for UFC 234.
UFC 234 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the third episode for this weekend’s big show in Melbourne, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.
Things start off with Anderson Silva in Melbourne, and he’s checking out a mural of him and Israel Adesanya. He’s blown away by it, and is very appreciative of someone doing this in a country that’s not even his own.
Kelvin Gastelum heads to a massive barber shop for a trim. They talk about Gastelum’s roots in Mexico, and how traveling is great because you get to meet so many cool people. He goes to pay at the end, but they won’t let him. I want to check out that barber shop one day, it looks super cool.
Sam Alvey makes his first appearance. He’s with his son, and he runs into opponent Jim Crute on the street. They trade a little friendly trash talk. He only brought one of his three kids on the trip due to the long flight. He gets a workout in with his son, who is clowning around.
Adesanya takes some goofy photos with some kids, then discusses the fight with Silva. He’s brash and confident, as you’d expect. He feels like he has the ability to bring out the Anderson of old.
And that’s it! No Robert Whittaker at all for the second straight episode. Anyway, UFC 234 goes down Sunday (Saturday night in North America) in Melbourne.
