CFFC signs deal to air on UFC Fight Pass

CFFC is the latest MMA promotion added to the UFC Fight Pass stable.

Cage Fury Fighting Championships will now air its events on the UFC’s digital streaming service, beginning in December, sources told MMA Fighting on Wednesday. An official announcement is expected later Wednesday.

The first CFFC card to air on Fight Pass will hail from Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City and take place Dec. 14. That event will feature three title fights: Cesar Balmaceda fighting for the interim lightweight belt, Pat Sabatini vs. Da’Mon Blackshear for the featherweight title and Alexander Keshtov vs. Nurbergen Sharipov for the bantamweight gold.

Also on the card, women’s strawweight prospect Miranda Granger faces Jamie Colleen and former UFC fighter Jonavin Webb returns to CFFC trying to win a fourth straight bout against Hugh Pulley.

“When we set out to be the gold standard in regional fight promotions, we knew we needed to be associated with the very best in the industry, so we’ve always had our sights set high on UFC Fight Pass,” CFFC president Rob Haydak said. “This is a huge opportunity for us and we look forward to delivering great fights in the years ahead on UFC Fight Pass. Our job and future as an organization is simple: make the best fights with the best prospects and help them become major stars of the future!”

CFFC has had the likes of Kimbo Slice, Paul Felder, Anthony Smith, Jimmie Rivera, Aljamain Sterling, Jim Miller and more on its roster.

Also of note, former UFC vice president of public relations, athlete marketing and development Dave Sholler has joined the CFFC ownership group alongside president Rob Haydak. Sholler will keep his job as the vice president of communications for the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers.
